When you arrive in the port of Kusadasi, your private guide will be waiting to lead you to your own luxury vehicle, during a 20 minute ride to Ephesus, your guide gives you a brief info about the area and about the country.
As you arrive in Ephesus, you will first see the Magnesia Gate, a marvelous example of ancient architecture that once stood tall as an entrance to the city. Begin a downhill walk with your guide into the city’s ruins. The route will take you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The theater, one of the city’s best-preserved monuments, it is still used today for the local spring festival. It once had seating space for 24,000 people, and it is believed to be the site where St Paul preached to the Ephesians.
This tour includes a visit to the House of Virgin Mary, where she spent last days of her life. House of Mary discovered in a vision by a bedridden German nun in 1812, this stone building is believed by many Catholics and Muslims to be where the Virgin Mary lived her last years. There is also a healing fountain.
After enjoying authentic Turkish cuisine at lunch, returning to port of Kusadasi where you tour concludes.

- Ephesus requires walking long distances over uneven surfaces, comfortable clothing and closed toe, sensible walking shoes are recommended. Sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested.
- We will ensure your timely return to the Kusadasi or Izmir port for this activity. If you are not returned to the ship in time to board, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call.

This was the perfect tour for us as we only had 8 hours in Ephesus. We were picked up from the airport at 8:30am. our tour guide, Yesim, was great. She gave us plenty of time at each stop to have a good look around and was fun and informative. I would recommend this tour to anyone with limited time in Ephesus..
St Mary lived her last days drinking the healing water of this mountain. Aprox 9 km from ephesus. This is a small chapel that was built on the site. The chapel has two rooms one of christians and one of muslims. There is a wall where people have attached prayer written on piece of paper.

After the short drive up the mountain from Ephesus, this unassuming site can be quite powereful. Very nice grounds for relaxation and contemplation. The house is small but taking in the entire environs makes your visit more complete.
After Jesus died, St. John brought Virgin Mary to Ephesus. It is worth to see where Virgin Mary lived. It is popular place for Catholic pilgrimage and tourists.

Absolutely serene! Such a spiritual place that cannot be missed
It was a little scary riding the bus up the "hill" to get to the house, but if you don't mind the drop off the views are great. The house is located way up a hill, very isolated. A Catholic Mass was being celebrated right outside of the house while we were there.
Though it is not allowed to take photos inside the Church, it is not a problem because the beauty of the small church building and the wonderful garden around it are excellent subjects for taking good pictures. The whole area is very pleasant to visit and to just sit around, under the shade and to soak in the spiritual atmosphere….
