When you arrive in the port of Kusadasi, your private guide will be waiting to lead you to your own luxury vehicle, during a 20 minute ride to Ephesus, your guide gives you a brief info about the area and about the country.
As you arrive in Ephesus, you will first see the Magnesia Gate, a marvelous example of ancient architecture that once stood tall as an entrance to the city. Begin a downhill walk with your guide into the city’s ruins. The route will take you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The theater, one of the city’s best-preserved monuments, it is still used today for the local spring festival. It once had seating space for 24,000 people, and it is believed to be the site where St Paul preached to the Ephesians.
This tour includes a visit to the House of Virgin Mary, where she spent last days of her life. House of Mary discovered in a vision by a bedridden German nun in 1812, this stone building is believed by many Catholics and Muslims to be where the Virgin Mary lived her last years. There is also a healing fountain.
After enjoying authentic Turkish cuisine at lunch, returning to port of Kusadasi where you tour concludes.

- At time of booking, Cruise Ship passengers must provide the following details under Special Requirements: Ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time.
- Children 6-18 years must be accompanied by an adult
- Please enter your preferred pickup time in the Special Requirements box at the time of booking, and reconfirm 48 hours prior to the tour’s departure time.
- Ephesus requires walking long distances over uneven surfaces, comfortable clothing and closed toe, sensible walking shoes are recommended. Sunglasses and sunscreen are suggested.
- We will ensure your timely return to the Kusadasi or Izmir port for this activity. If you are not returned to the ship in time to board, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call.

Seventeen wonderful days in Turkey seeing marvalous, awe-inspiring ruins and wonderful sights: One poor experience, Mary's "House" at Ephesus. It's an expensive gimick. We shuffled through a little chapel, never pausing, along with several hundred other tourists, all of us in a line. It took three minutes and I saw nothing of Mary there.
My husband and I had arranged the tour in advance of our arrival by cruise ship. We made the arrangements via e-mail and all of our questions were responded to quickly and professionally. We were at the cruise terminal 25 minutes before our agreed upon time and Yesim our guide was already there.
It was a wonderful private tour, Yesim is good guide with a lot information, very charming and friendly, We will certainly recommend your company to our friends.
A must see for any Roman Catholic and well worth the scenic drive through the countryside….if you visit here, do not forget Epheseus and the Basilica dedicated to Saint John – where he is also buried.
nos bajamos en el puerto de kusadasi que significa isla de los pajaros me gusto mucho la verdad es un lugar muy llamativo nuestro crusero era de la manana hasta la noche y tuvimos el tiempo para contratar un tour privado por efeso y la casa de la virgen maria junto con la visita al templo de artemisa y la basilica de san juan la verdad fue un tour muy bueno la guia era muy buena tambien se ve que conoce bien la region todo explicado a la perfeccion 🙂
We were travelling on a cruise ship with 3 couples and booked a private tour our tour guide seemed to get us to each place before the big crowds arrived thanks.
We were very pleased with our tour to Ephesus and the Terrace Houses for sure, include this in your tour!! We were concerned because we requested it only about 5 days before we left for our cruise. They responded very quickly and we confirmed the reservation. We also appreciated that we were able to pay after the trip, so we did not have to worry about paying then no one showing up.
Make sure to refill your water bottle from the spring water here. You can drink it. I don't know how healing it is, but it is cold and refreshing.

Lovely park high up in the hills surrouds the area where Blessed Virgin Mary spent the last years of her life. Small chuch is no over the site of her home. Really enjoyed the beauty & serenity of this lovely park dedicated to the Blessed Virgin.
