It is one of the highlights of Turkey.
After leaving the Dolmabahce Palace you will have the opportunity to do some haggling at the Grand Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is like any bazaar except that, as its explains, it is all within one huge building. Dolmabahce Palace, is huge and very opulent . Amazing to see . We toured with a group from our cruise ship and were very impressed by the beautiful rugs, lights , and furnishings in all the rooms. Intrigued by the simplistic rooms of the Ataturk and how humble his spaces were. Our tour included to harem as well as the gardens.
The Grand Bazaar is an overstimulating labyrinth of endless shops…
Incredible tour. We were able to see so much in so little time. If you are visiting Istanbul you’ll not regret.
I had heard so much about Istanbul's Grand Bazaar that perhaps my expectations were too high. Loads of stores, overpriced merchandise, definitely colorful, but nothing unique or unusual that I wished I would have bought. I've been to many bazaars, and this one was certainly not the best.
I had not expected to visit Dolmabahce Place, but truly glad that I did… A complete different sense of architecture where the sultans lived. The palace is stunning in itz extravagent furniture, carpets , silk laden curtains and enormous chandeliers. The Dome in the main chamber was one of the best sights to see in Istanbul.
I would recommend anyone visiting Istanbul to hire this company and particularly Taylan. He was really flexible in allowing me to bend the schedule a bit to accommodate shopping for a special item. It is rare that you can create your own tour, however, with this service you can. Also, I think for solo women travelers hiring a person tour guide is a must in Istanbul.
The tour was very reasonably priced compared to those offered by our cruise ship. We really appreciated the personal touch only afforded by a small group tour. I would strongly suggest that anyone traveling to Istanbul. You won’t be disappointed.
We booked a private tour when we visited Istanbul in July. They also arranged our airport transfers. I can’t recommend them too highly. Very professional organisation, with luxurious vehicles. Everything right on time and the guide was very knowledgeable and professional.
We visited Istanbul and went to the Dolmabahce Palace with friends on a weekend. It was a very busy weekend and wait to get into the palace building was a bit long. The palace grounds are very beautifully landscaped and viewing the building from the outside is worth in itself. However, once you enter the palace another world completely opens…
Our guide was truly a blessing! She was knowledgeable and easy to understand. The vehicle we used was beautiful and very comfortable.
