The Bosphorus Bridge, is one of two suspension bridges spanning the Bosphorus strait in Istanbul, Turkey; thus connecting Europe and Asia. The bridge is located between Ortaköy (on the European side) and Beylerbeyi (on the Asian side).

It is a gravity anchored suspension bridge with steel towers and inclined hangers. The aerodynamic deck hangs on zigzag steel cables. It is 1,560 m (5,118 ft)[1] long with a deck width of 33.40 m. The distance between the towers (main span) is 1,074 m and the total height of the towers is 165 m. The clearance of the bridge from sea level is 64 m.

The Bosphorus Bridge had the 4th longest suspension bridge span in the world when it was completed in 1973, and the longest outside the United States. At present, it is the 21st longest suspension bridge span in the world.

Its a long beautiful bridge which connects Istanbul (Europe part) and Asia part. Somehow the bridge reminds me of Golden Gate, San Francisco.

There's not much to say that hasn't already been said about this bridge. My favorite here is the sign when leaving the Asian side which says "Welcome to Europe"!

It's a suspension bridge – if any Brits have been across the Forth Road or Humber bridges, then you already have an excellent idea of what this bridge looks like. The only thing you haven't seen is the queue of traffic to get across it.
There's a pretty mosque on the waterfront on the European side which makes a nice…

The link between the two continents, the bridge between two parts of the same city, the bridge where there are spectacular places to see nearby, old historical, picturesque, cool during the day time and night time, especially at sunset.
I enjoyed it alot. I took the tram across the bridge and then walked back across, quite memorable. I loved the…

be sure to walk along the bridge to the other side. Especially at night there are beautiful lights illuminating the water in all different colors and if you are on a couples trip a romantic walk and view at night

It was amazing to go from Europe to Asia just by crossing a bridge. It was also interesting to see the fishermen and their daily living activities.

You definetly need to cross the Bosphorus Bridge, which connects Europe with Asia. You can go by taxi or do a city tour by bus, nearly any of them crosses the bridge. Its beautiful to see the city from the bosphorus and also the princes isles. Buut it´s very windy so you better wear a jacket! 🙂

It is an amazing structure linking asia with europe over the bosphorus. We passed under it both ways on a boat trip and thought it was a tremendous piece of engineering.

The big tip is to try and go completely private. Many of the large tour companies offer private tour and they are going to charge a significant amount of money for the tour guide. However, many locations offer self-guided tours and therefore you have the ability to supply your own tour guide. Easily Book your guided private Ephesus tours, to see all the treasures of Ephesus Turkey. It's often said that Turkey has more ancient cities and classical ruins than does Greece. Well, it's true, and the Aegean coast holds a great number of sites, including Ephesus, the grandest and best-preserved of them all.
