- Guests must be able to walk approximately 2.5 miles. Comfortable shoes, a hat and plenty of sunscreen are recommended as shade is limited.

You can see domed structures that get higher towards the top of the rock as well as praying buildings, monks cave and shelters among the houses. They look like an ant colony looking from above. Saint Baptist Monastery, which is one of the oldest building in Cappadocia, is hidden among the rocks here. It is an enormous basilica carved in the top part of the rock. Cavusin Church is beside Goreme-Avanos road, 4 km far from Goreme.
Geographic beauty, people and food was amazing. The locals are warm and friendly and it was an awesome experience to be taken back centuries back and relive where those moements happened in history and geographic time line

This was the entire reason I went to Cappadocia and I was over thrilled with the experience. I had seen reports of the caves on the discovery channel, but nothing compares to actually walking through the tunnels yourself and seeing where families slept and communities cooked and shared meals. This was a must do!
This is a great thing to see in Capadoccia, a canyon full of decorated churches and that you can take pictures of provided that you do not use flash.
The downside is that travel agencies of course know about it and bring hundreds of tourists to march through the small path of the canyon so it feels really crowded.
Cappadocia is one of the truly great experiences. Turkey is a welcoming and friendly place and Cappadocia just continues that. The whole area is fantastic and a must visit. Allow minimum 2 days for walking and ballon rides. There are many hotels and camping grounds through out the area and many of the hotels are underground.
家人和我觉得卡帕多西亚一日游实在太值得了。石窟教堂，各种不同造型的仙人烟囱和火山灰形成的石锥，让人叹为观止。还有卡帕多西亚地区最深的地下城，代林库尤地下城， 绝对不可错过。
