And it made me wonder why we ever stopped living in caves! They stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter and have so much charm. This is a must see in the area. The history is incredible.
the cappadocia region of turkey is fabulous! we spent much time exploring the goreme open air museum (a must see), the ilhara valley and ozkonok (an underground city). all the places were fabulous if you love ancient history, mosaics and frescoes and the fantabulous. great hiking.
What a lovely church. Just to be able to stand in a place so old as this was just amazing. frescos were amazing to see. And for free!!!
Deinkuyu is the deepest underground city and is also quieter than the other ones. We had a guide (60 Lira for 4 people) and it really made a big difference, as we could really put into context why the city was dug the way it was, its functions etc. I think it's a must see if you're in the region.
Most tours of the valley just do the middle part of the valley, which has some good views and a nice collection of restaurants at the end, however to get the best experience try to get a guide who will take you the length of the whole valley.
Capadocia y el tour privado creo que son la combinacion perfecta 😉
Fascinating and a little daunting to clamor around through narrow passages uner the earth. Only visited one of the underground cities and it only went down about 4 stories, but I understand there are more than 20 in the area and some go as deep as 8 stories. Don't miss visiting one of them
Long trip and the most amazing geaography that is Cappadocia. I liked every place I visited.ballon was extremly good and one good option is to rent a car or a van and just drive to every valley around goreme there're great restaurants too along the way and i never forget my lovely hotel ''cave suites cappadocia.
Beautiful nature, amazing cave churches, a refreshing walking among trees and rock formations. If you go in summer you should take water , hat and choose a convenient day. The total distance is 15 km but you could choose a shorter walk (7 km).
El tour privado de capadocia comenzo con un mini bus que nos recojio de nuestro alberg3 la verdad es que quedamos maravilladoa con la belleza del lugar
