A licence used to be hard to obtain but it was made easier in 1986 by Mr.Turgut Ozal when he was the Prime Minister. According to Turkish law there are two types:

  • Licence to own a gun,
  • Licence both to own and carry a gun.

It is harder to get the second licence but shepherds, jewellers (there are 35.000 of them in Turkey), businessmen who employ more than 50 employs, police officers, army officers, change office owners, protection officers trol station owners and lawyers can have a licence to own and carry a gun. The number who may carry must be smaller than the number who may wn.But only the number of army officers, police officers and the retired ones re around half a million.

The number of Turks who have a licence to own a fire-arm is 410,000 nd the number of Turks who may carry one is just over 620,000 (including army officers and police officers). The licenced owners can purchase a maximum of 200 bullets annually.

The big tip is to try and go completely private. Many of the large tour companies offer private tour and they are going to charge a significant amount of money for the tour guide. However, many locations offer self-guided tours and therefore you have the ability to supply your own tour guide. Easily Book your guided private Ephesus tours, to see all the treasures of Ephesus Turkey. It's often said that Turkey has more ancient cities and classical ruins than does Greece. Well, it's true, and the Aegean coast holds a great number of sites, including Ephesus, the grandest and best-preserved of them all.
